“My art presents creativity, emotions, colors and visual excitement to make connections with the viewer. People enjoy an interaction with the art they see. I use acrylics, watercolor, ink, marker, found objects and sources of paper to create that visual experience.”
About the artist
I've been part of the arts most of my life — first through dance and theater, and for the last twenty years, through visual art. My work today centers on modern abstract collage, built from a wide range of materials: acrylics, ink, markers, specialty papers, textiles, and found objects layered together into something new.
I'm drawn to collage because it lets a piece hold more than one idea at once — memory and material, image and texture, intention and accident. Each work grows in layers, the way a thought or a place can hold many things at the same time.
My art has been shown in galleries across the country, and I continue to explore new directions in color, material, and form.
Title: Islands of the Mind
This piece is currently in the art magazine “Novum Artis”. “Islands of the Mind” uses a range of bold colors and shapes to imagine the thoughts that capture our mind and bring visions into our inner life. We often looking into the past or think about the present and have many thoughts about what the future brings. These images are brought to life on the canvas.
